About the assignment

BAE Systems Bofors develops, produces, and delivers advanced defense systems and is currently in an exciting growth phase. The development department has grown steadily over the past few years – and the journey continues.

As part of this development, the organization within the System unit (KES) is being reshaped, with the ambition to create the right conditions for both people and operations to grow sustainably over time.

About ILS and the team's work

ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) is about ensuring that our systems function efficiently, safely, and sustainably throughout their entire lifecycle – from development to operation, maintenance, and further development.

ILS is an integrated part of the development work, and your employees contribute through close collaboration with other technical areas and projects – with a focus on creating solutions that work in practice, not just on paper.

Your role

As Section Manager for ILS (Integrated Logistics Support), you will have clear responsibility for your own section – where you lead, develop, and build the operation as the organization grows.

The operation is largely project-based, which means that you and your team contribute to several parallel projects linked to different product areas. A central part of your role is to ensure that the right competence is in the right place – by planning, prioritizing, and allocating resources to projects based on needs and long-term goals.

This is a role where you will both work closely with people and contribute to the bigger picture. You collaborate closely with another section manager within ILS, as well as with other managers and your management group within the unit. Together, you drive development forward, while you have full responsibility for your group.

Initially, the group is relatively small, which means that you will play an important role in recruiting, shaping, and developing your team.

Your employees are primarily located in Karlskoga and Karlstad, but also in other locations.

You will among other things:

• Lead and develop your section
• Recruit and build the team in line with the growth of the operation
• Be responsible for resource planning, working environment, and competence development
• Ensure the right competence – both here and now and in the longer term
• Drive change and contribute to organizational development
• Collaborate with other section managers, project managers, and management
• Participate in developing working methods, processes, and collaboration forums

Your profile

We are looking for you who both want and enjoy taking responsibility – for people, operations, and development.

You have:

• A technical post-secondary education, or experience we assess as equivalent
• Experience within ILS, maintenance, aftermarket, or similar
• Leadership experience, for example as a manager or project manager
• Experience of change, growth, or building up operations
• Good understanding of technical processes and quality work
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English
